TERRARIA MAPS 1.3.0.8 UPDATE
Sometimes you only need 1 byte for a tile, sometimes you need 13 bytes.įlags, actuator and actuated state. TerraMap (Terraria World Map Viewer) - Basic 1.3 support Spoiler I just published an update to TerraMap with extremely basic support for 1.3: There are a ton of new items, tiles, walls, etc in this update, and its going to take a lot of time to figure out the names, colors, etc. BE WARNED, all of those informations are only saved when needed. Here is the order of each byte of information. Each tile is saved in up to 13 bytes for each tiles. This address should be 0xA0A + worldNameSize + sizeof(anglerWhoFinishedToday)Įach tile is made of several layers and informations. Not to be confused with the moon phase (see row #36).Įach string is 1 byte for length and "length" bytes of char. Origin is top-left corner.Įncoded in a binary format with the C# method DAtetime.ToBinary(). Name (from source values can be read as one with BinaryReader.Read(String) in ID of the world, works as a seed.

At least the architechture is known.ĭue to the name of the world being a string of undefinite size all addresses of the following table are relative to the row #3. This section is not well detailled as lots of informations are yet to be uderstood. This section of the file contains informations on the current state of the game (weathers, kills, time, objective accomplished, boss killed, etc.). The names and informations (house location, etc.) about each NPC. The whole map as blocks, with every layer (blocks, walls, liquids, furnitures, decorations, paint, wirings, etc.). That's probably for this data that you are reading this document. It contains informations about the world, how it was generated and some informations about what happended since its creation. This section starts at the beginning of the file and is 121 bytes wide. There is also an index that contains the offset of each other section. It contains metadata about the file and some specific values used to create the whole file.
TERRARIA MAPS 1.3.0.8 MAC

Since it contains very few changes, it has no formal changelog. Confirmation should come as the date gets closer. The 1.3.0.8 update is the official release of the Mac and Linux versions of Terraria. You can do many things in Terraria: make weapons and fight off a variety of enemies in numerous biomes, dig deep underground to find accessories, money, and other useful things, gather wood, stone, ores, and other resources to create everything you need to make the world your own and defend it. The expected release for this update is November 15, but can change if developers can't achieve this goal.

TERRARIA MAPS 1.3.0.8 WINDOWS
This version ensures compatibility between Mac/Linux and Windows - no other substantial changes come with this update. The 1.3.4 update will also bring some stunning visual improvements to the physics of water interaction. Also note that this will be Terraria 1.3.0.8.
